Illinois State student-athletes and coaches met students, kids, and members of the community at the Redbird Fan Fair on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at Horton Field House as part of Welcome Week. Attendees could get their photos taken with the athletes, Reggie Redbird, hula hoop, get autographs and ride big wheel trikes among other fun activities.

Illinois State students finished off their evening Saturday, August 16, 2014, with some glow-in-the-dark late night fun at Up Late at State’s Glow It Up. Students got free glow-in-the-dark items, food, danced to music of a local DJ, and got their faces painted as part of Welcome Week festivities.

Students were formally welcomed to campus by the vice presidential team and learned about the University’s culture and traditions on Friday, August 15, 2014 as part of Welcome Week Activities at Illinois State University. Students also got to hear speaker Justin Jones-Fosu deliver the keynote: Hug an Elephant, Kiss a Giraffe: Redefining Diversity in Everyday Life.
